The Ministry of Interior has launched the Child Protection Specialist training program for personnel engaged in child protection within the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The initiative is designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and support the development of national competencies.

The Child Protection Center at the Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the General Directorate of Competency Development, has launched the Family Counselor program in line with the Year of the Family 2026, in the presence of H.E. Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior. The program is designed to qualify specialists in family care and child protection by equipping them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to provide guidance, support, and intervention for families facing relational challenges. It aims to reinforce social cohesion, strengthen the family’s role in supporting security, and highlight its position as a foundational pillar of a safe and stable society.

The Ministry of Interior celebrates Emirati Children’s Day under the theme “The Right to Digital Knowledge,” which was announced by the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood for the year 2026, under the directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation.
