CPC Functions
The functions of the Ministry of Interior Child Protection
Centre have been identified as follows :
• Development
of child protection strategies, policies and practice through strategic
planning, commissioning of research, provision of internal and external
training, collation and analysis of statistical data .
• Compliance
and Regulation – Evaluation of adherence to policies and procedures,
investigative and protection practice, addressing complaints, KPI’s and
auditing .
• Community
Outreach – Operation of a public accessible hotline including referral &
intake, raising awareness, development of partnerships, collaboration with the
media, organising and participating in national and international conferences
and events .
• Support
services – provision of administration, legal, Information Technology, and
record keeping support.
