The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Ministry of Interior Child Protection Centre, launched an educational initiative in conjunction with the start of the new school year under the slogan “Safe School Year”. The initiative aims to enhance public safety and community protection for children, deepen correct behaviors and values, and enhance proactive security awareness. The initiative includes an awareness programe within the framework of the Ministry of Interior’s strategy for crime prevention, whereby the programe includes lectures and awareness workshops targeting students, parents, educational supervisors, and educational and administrative cadres in schools, on cybercrimes, bullying, extortion and online abuse, in addition to introducing the Child Rights Law and introducing ways to report abuse through the smart reporting system provided by the Ministry of Interior, which includes the Child Protection Hotline on (116111), the Hemayati application for smart devices, and electronic reporting via the website of the Ministry of Interior’s Child Protection Centre www.moi-cpc.ae.
